I started my career at the prestigious Mansion House in the Office of the Lord
Mayor. It was an excellent discipline as my boss would return a letter
if I'd omitted even one comma. This taught me attention to detail and endurance! The Lord Mayor changes each November so after a year I left to explore the
London rat race further, taking with me the honourable - if not anachronistic - title of Freeman of the City of London.
In the '90's I retrained to become an aromatherapist and worked at both
the Savoy and Claridges hotels. I could tell many a tale about life in the rabbit warrens under these hotels [but I won't be telling!]. I
also wrote articles on aromatherapy and even made a brief appearance on Live TV.
Following a course with the Writer's Bureau, and an Open University internet writing course I have been published in many women's weekly and monthly magazines.
